Personal information collected on this website will be used to contact you if one of your photos has won a prize and to report that you have won a prize. Metro Holland and its affiliates will not use your personal information for any other marketing purposes without obtaining your explicit prior consent. Metro will not share your personal information with any third parties without your explicit prior consent.
What personal information does Metro collect on this website?
Metro will collect your name, surname, age, phone number and e-mail address. We may also require your address. Without submitting this data you cannot take part in the prize draw. 
Will you receive any mailing after you registered on this website?
After registering online you will receive one email from Metro requiring validation of your email address. The email will contain a link which you must click to validate the email address. You only need to do this once. You will also receive an email if you won a prize in the draw. Additionally, if you have given us your consent we will send you further information on the winning photos and on other Metro promotions and competitions.
Will Metro disclose the information it collects to third parties?
Metro will not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others unless you have given your explicit permission. With your permission Metro will only share the information with carefully chosen, reputable and trustworthy third parties. Metro may also provide aggregate statistics about visitors to its websites for its partners and clients. These statistics will include no personally identifying information.
How does Metro protect your personal information?
Metro invests in industry standard security and does its utmost to protect user privacy. Metro follows strict security procedures relating to the storage and disclosure of personal information which you have provided in order to prevent unauthorised access. Unfortunately, the transmission of personal data via the internet is not secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal data sent to us or our Website or received by you from us over the internet; any communication is at your own risk.
Does Metro send personal data abroad?
In order to conduct the Photo Competition, Metro will process your personal data in Sweden. It may also be processed by staff operating outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who work for us or for one of our suppliers. By submitting your personal data, you consent to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all required steps required by applicable law to ensure that any personal data we transfer outside the EEA is treated securely and in accordance with the terms of the Privacy Policy.
Why does Metro use "cookies"?
"Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. They make it possible for Metro to identify registered users without needing to ask for registration details every time you vote for an entry or every time you access the site. Users have the ability to accept or disable cookies by modifying the settings in their browser. Disabling cookies however may mean that some functionality may be affected. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies when you log on to our site. This will allow you to vote up to 3 times on each photo, after which voting will be blocked.
